Meet the cats
The Cat Village will host over 150 cats this September. Here you will find details of confirmed attendance for The Cat Show Live.
All cats attending will be health checked on arrival and ‘cat nap’ screens will be used to give cats a break. To find your breed please use the search button or scroll down for all breeds.
The Cat Village will be open from 10am – 4:30pm and we ask all visitors to respect our RECO policy. Details will be given to you on arrival with some Do’s & Don’ts to make sure you and all our amazing cats have an enjoyable fun day.
Breeds
Abyssinian
The Abyssinian Cat has a distinctive “ticked” tabby coat, in which individual hairs are banded with different colours. A friendly breed with a number of dog like characteristics including their love of demanding attention

American Curl
The American Curl is an enchanting elegant breed often known as the Peter Pan of the cat world due to their kitten like nature. A small to medium sized cat with swept back curled ears ( a natural mutation) . They have a kind & intelligent nature, Chatty but not loud and can form incredibly strong bonds with their owners

American Shorthair
The American Shorthair is a lovely strong muscular breed of cat. Known for agility and endurance. They have a gentle playful nature and make excellent companions for families with children.

Asian Longhair
The Asian cat originates from an accidental mating between a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian. They have an inquisitive, entertaining and outgoing nature. They come in a variety of patterns and colours, including the Burmilla, tabby, self and smoke, and both short hair and longhair (called the Tiffanie). The Burmilla varieties are recognised in TICA & Fife

Balinese
The Balinese is a variation of the traditional Siamese breed. Known for its striking beauty, intelligence and friendly nature. They are medium sized with a long silky coat.

Bengal
Bengals are known for their striking looks. They come in the colours brown, snow, silver and blue and their coat can either be spotted, rosetted or marble patterned. Bengals have a strong, muscular & athletic body and are very sociable by nature. They are very athletic, playful and highly intelligent.

British Longhair
The British Longhair is a medium-sized, semi-long-haired breed of domestic cat, originating in Great Britain.

Devon Rex
The Devon Rex is a quirky cat breed with a wavy coat and an elfin face that originated in England in the 1950s. A small sociable breed known for their acrobatics and naughtiness.

Donskoy
Also known as the Russian Hairless or Don Sphynx, the Donskoy is a playful, affectionate companion with a reputation for cuddling up with family members .The Donskoy comes with a mischievous side and a built-in sense of curiosity that resemble the Sphynx cat

Exotic
The Exotic is a loving, sweet natured breed. If you love the look of a persian but worried about all the fur then the exotic may well be the answer! Medium sized and home loving they require regular grooming as although they have a shorter coat it is very thick and dense and need a daily comb through to help maintain it. They do moult so be prepared for that too!
An indoor cat who can be active but equally loves to snooze they make good companions and are very devoted to their owners.

Kurilian Bobtail
The Kurilian Bobtail cat is renowned for having a sweet, gentle nature. Kurilian Bobtail cats have short to ultra-short bobtails which are one of a kind tails. Sometimes compared with a snowflake or a fingerprint, no tail is identical to another. A larger active breed they love to play with bundles of energy

Lykoi
Lykoi or Lykos is the Greek word for werewolf, which is what Lykoi look similar to. In fact, they are not at all like werewolves, and have an amazing personality and temperament. They are also surprisingly soft to the touch. At around a week of age, they start to loose their fur and gradually grow their Roan coats. Roan means that for every coloured hair there is a white or colourless hair.

Maine Coon
The Maine Coon is the gentle giant of the cat world. Often known as the tail with the cat attached! A natural breed originating from the USA this breed will always be near by supervising daily activities.

Maine Coon Polydactyl
The Polydactyl Maine Coon is in essence a Maine Coon born with extra toes. It is harmless and does not affect the health or beauty of the gentle giants of the cat world

Norwegian Forest Cat
The Norwegian Forest cat is native to Norway and adapted to a very cold climate with a long glossy coat and woolly undercoat. The breed is known for being sociable and playful adapting to many different climates

Oriental Shorthair
The oriental shorthair is a medium sized cat built to be long, lean and agile. Known to be gregarious in nature with its fun outgoing nature often can be found with the younger members of a family.

Persian
The Persian cat has been cherished for hundreds of years, tracing their origins to the deserts of Persia and Iran. The Persian cat is a medium- to large-sized breed, easily identifiable by their round, flat face and long, flowing coats that come in almost every colour. Persian cats are gentle, loving companions even if their face makes them look a little grumpy.

Peterbald
The Peterbald is a medium sized cat originating from Russia. Hairless, short coated this breed has a number of variations of coat textures. They have an oriental type build and love to be cuddled and adored by their owners. Loyal and fun loving in character

Ragamuffin
The Ragamuffin was considered to be a variant of the Ragdoll until 1994 when it became its own breed. One of the larger cat breeds it has a calm, easy going placid personality.

Savannah
Savannah’s are a large domestic cat. Curious, intelligent and friendly as a breed they are also very loyal to their owners. Savannah’s are a hybrid breed with a distinct spotted pattern.

Scottish Fold
The Scottish Fold cat is a domestic breed of cat with folded ears giving an owl like expression ( not all Scottish Folds have folded ears) . A medium sized breed with sweet expression and loving temperament.

Selkirk Rex
The Selkirk Rex has a very mellow temperament, it is also warm and affectionate; it tends to get along with everyone. This medium to large-sized feline with its curly coat is exceptionally tolerant and friendly.

Siberian
The Siberian is an ancient breed originating from Russia. The breed loves to climb and explore so make sure you have plenty of high One of the few cat breeds with a hypoallergenic coat.

Sphynx
The Sphynx cat is known as the hairless breed due to its lack of fur. They are extremely affectionate people orientated cats who love nothing better than a cuddle with their loved ones.

Toyger
The Toyger is often referred to as a miniature Tiger because of its golden coat & striped appearance. It is in fact a loving and intelligent breed of cat.
